The Philadelphia Orchestra Association and Intermission are offering Al Hirschfeld's last signed work - an original etching of the Great Music Directors of The Philadelphia Orchestra.
Hirschfeld has captured Maestros Ormandy, Muti, Sawallisch, Stokowski and Eschenbach in a triumphant stance, yet lost in their art. In addition to each etching being signed by the artist, the final and limited set is also signed by current Philadelphia Music Director, Christoph Eschenbach, and Philadelphia Orchestra Conductor Laureate, Wolfgang Sawallisch. This original work was jointly commissioned by Intermission and The Philadelphia Orchestra.
